Texas Sesquicentennial Wagon Train

2011

Texas Sesquicentennial Wagon Train

For 6 months in 1986 during Texas sesquicentennial celebration, the 150th anniversary of the birth of Texas, a wagon train traveled slowly around the State. It began in early spring, traveling within 100 miles of each town so citizens could see the train and its participants. The train ended its odyssey on July 4, 1986, when it entered the historic Fort Worth Stockyards.
