David Crockett

David Crockett

Davy Crockett was a superb marksman who is said to have killed 105 bears in one season. A former Tennessee congressman, he was known as a charismatic storyteller. Always seeking adventure, Crockett traveled to Texas and joined the fight for independence. He died defending the Alamo, but his image has lived on through the decades in movies, television, books and even toys. His name lives on all across Texas on street names, schools; even a town and county bear the Crockett name.
