Charles McFarland

A cattleman from Weatherford, Texas, McFarland was one of the founders of the Fort Worth Fat Stock Show. He was a visionary who saw Texas” future role in the rapidly changing cattle industry. Active in the introduction of new and improved cattle breeds to Texas. McFarland, along with Charles French planned the first stock show in March of 1896 along the banks of Marine Creek in North Fort Worth.
