Charles French

1999

Charles French

French was a supporter of youth programs that are today known as 4-H. He learned the “cowboy” way of life by working on cattle drives to the Dakotas in the 1870’s. In 1896 he helped produce Fort Worth’s first stock show. He was a persuasive talker and became promotions agent for the Fort Worth Stockyards, specifically to promote pork.
