Wyatt Earp

2001

Wyatt Earp

Wyatt Earp was a farmer, lawman, gunfighter, politician, gambler, saloon keeper, sports enthusiast and rancher. But it was as a lawman that he gained his greatest fame. Credited with cleaning up Dodge City, he eventually settled into what he hoped would be a peaceful life in Tombstone, Arizona. Once there, Wyatt, along with brothers Virgil and Morgan, who all held various law enforcement positions, clashed with a gang of outlaw cowboys headed by brothers  Tom and Frank McLaury, and Ike and Billy Clanton, who threatened to kill the Earp brothers. The conflict came to a head on October 26, 1881 in the Gunfight at the O. K. Corral.
