Red Steagall

A Texas native, Russell “Red” Steagall was named the “Official Cowboy Poet of Texas” by the state legislature in 1991. In his 30 plus year career, more than 200 of his compositions have been recorded and he is also an author, actor and radio personality. His Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering in the Fort Worth Stockyards is a crowd favorite each October. He was awarded the Western Heritage Award from the National Cowboy Hall of Fame.
