Celebrating Texas culture and our western heritage, The Texas Trail of Fame was established to honor those individuals who have made a significant contribution to our Western way of life. Throughout the walkways of the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, bronze inlaid markers have been placed in recognition of their achievements. These markers are patterned after a frontier marshall’s badge and are inscribed with the honoree’s name.
It is the desire of the Texas Trail of Fame that reflecting upon these Westerner’s accomplishments will serve as both an educational adventure for the visitor and an inspiration.
Watch for more educational initiatives in 2016-17 from TTOF, as we continue to ramp up our school programs, online educational and historical resource archives, and develop our mobile app for exploring TTOF Inductees throughout the Stockyards.
The Texas Trail of Fame relies on donations and celebrates our new Inductees each year in both our annual Hook Memorial Golf Tournament (register online here) and during the official ceremonies during The Red Steagall Cowboy Gathering and Western Swing Festival.
Join us this year for the festival’s 26th anniversary celebration, October 28 – 30, 2016 in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District
